What the list actually tells you
None of the 18 took longer than 7 working days. But look at the four where the customer also wrote down what they’d been told: 18 days, 8 working days, 10 days, and “two weeks or more”. Each time, the job came back well inside that date.
A quoted date has to allow for things nobody can see yet. A cracked rail under the old fabric. A fabric that’s in stock at the supplier today and gone tomorrow. Senzi Zikhali wrote that the team confirmed the chosen fabric was available before they left the house. That couch came back 11 days early.
What makes a job take longer
- Fabric that has to be ordered. If your first-choice velvet isn’t in stock, you can wait for it or choose again from the samples.
- Frame repairs. A broken frame gets fixed before anything is covered.
- Size. A full lounge suite with dining chairs is several jobs, not one.
- Things going wrong. Two reviewers mention delays from “unforeseen circumstances”. It happens.
What to plan around
Plan around the date Kwanele gives you, not the fastest line in the table. If you’ve got a deadline, like family arriving for December or a venue reopening on a Friday, say so in your first WhatsApp to 074 019 9297, before we quote.
Questions we get asked
Will my couch be back in 2 days?
Maybe. Six of the 18 customers below wrote 2 days or less. Don't plan around it, though. Kwanele gives you your own date when he quotes.
What slows a job down?
Fabric that has to be ordered in, frame repairs, and big jobs like a full lounge suite plus chairs.
