If your leather couch is flaking off in little black crumbs, it’s probably bonded leather or a leather-look cover that’s reached the end. It can’t be glued back. It has to be re-covered. The good news is that the frame underneath is usually fine, so you keep the couch and lose the peeling.
What we see most
- Peeling seats and armrests. The places you touch every day go first. The recliner in the photo above came to us like that, in black, and went home in tan.
- Torn seams and split panels. A cushion that’s been dropped into a hundred times splits along the stitching.
- Flat cushions. The cover’s fine but you sink to the frame. That’s a foam job.
Real leather or leather-look
We work in both. Genuine leather costs more and ages with you. Leather-look is kinder on the budget and wipes clean, which is why restaurants and clinics ask for it. Bring your questions to the sample visit and we’ll put both in your hands.

Questions we get asked
Can you fix just the peeling parts?
Sometimes. If the peeling covers the seats and arms, a patch won't match and it'll peel again next to the repair. Send a photo and we'll tell you honestly which one your couch needs.
Can I change the colour?
Yes. Two of the couches in our before-and-after went from black to tan and from black to red.
Do you restuff leather cushions?
Yes. Lauren Lang had her L-shaped leather couch repaired and the cushions restuffed in the same job.
