We’ve tried to make everything on this website accurate and useful. This page explains how to read it.

Reviews are our customers’ words

The reviews on this site are quoted word for word from Google Maps, with the name as it appears there. We haven’t edited them, corrected their spelling or picked sentences out of context. Where we show part of a review, the missing words are marked with “…”. We check our Google rating on Google Maps on the 1st of every month, so the 4.9 you see here was last read on 15 October 2026. The review count is rounded down, which is why it shows as 300+. The reviews quoted on this site were copied on 28 September 2026. None of this updates live, so the current rating and review count on Google Maps may be different. Read every review, good and bad, on our Google profile.

Turnaround times are examples

When a page quotes a customer saying their couch came back in 2 days or 7 days, that was their job. It isn’t a promise about yours. Your expected finish date is the one on your written quote.

Before-and-after photos

The before-and-after photos are furniture we worked on in our Jabavu workshop. Colours can look different on your screen, and your furniture and fabric won’t look exactly the same as someone else’s.

Prices and advice

Our articles explain what affects the price of reupholstery, and share general advice about fabric, foam and frames. That’s a guide, not a quote. Your price is the one Kwanele quotes from your photos, and it depends on the material you choose. Advice on this site is general. Send us photos of your piece on WhatsApp and we’ll tell you what it needs.

We link to Google, Instagram, WhatsApp and a few government sites like the Information Regulator. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for what’s on them.
