Sit down on your couch. If you sink until you feel the frame, the foam’s gone, however good the fabric looks. Comfort is the first thing a couch loses, and you can have it back without buying a new one.
Is it the foam?
Look for these:
- the cushions stay flat after you stand up
- one seat sits lower than the others
- the cushion cover looks baggy on a couch that looks full
- getting up takes a push off the armrest
Foam alone, or foam and a new cover
If your cover’s still good, we take the cushions apart, replace the foam and put the same cover back. If the fabric is torn or faded as well, it makes sense to do both. The foam goes in first, and the new cover is cut to its shape. The corner suite in the before-and-after above went from worn brown-and-grey to oatmeal fabric.
my couches look brand new, they are so comfortable, can’t stop looking at them

Firm, medium or soft
Denser foam holds its shape longer. Softer foam feels lovely the day it arrives and flattens sooner. Tell us how you use the couch. A family couch that gets sat on every evening needs a different foam from a formal lounge suite used for visitors, and you should ask us which foam we’re quoting and why. Carl Mhlanga wrote that “they use quality materials to suit every need”.
See foam replacement for chair seats and patio cushions too. Then WhatsApp 074 019 9297 a photo of the couch, one of a cushion unzipped if it has a zip, and how many cushions there are.
Questions we get asked
Do you collect in Germiston?
Yes. We collect anywhere in Gauteng, including Germiston. WhatsApp a photo to 074 019 9297 and we'll quote you and book a collection day.
Can you replace the foam and keep my cover?
Yes, if the cover is in good condition. We open the cushions, fit new foam and put the same cover back. Fixed seats need the cover off, so those are usually part of a full re-cover.
