We're a small upholstery and furniture team on Vundla Street in Jabavu, Soweto. Most days that means couches: stripped, repaired, re-foamed, re-covered, then driven back to the lounge they came from. We also build kitchen units, wardrobes and TV stands to fit your room.

We come to you first.
We bring the fabric samples to your door, so you choose the colour in the room it's going to live in.

We rebuild from the frame.
The old fabric comes off, the frame gets checked and fixed, and sagging seats get fresh foam before anything new goes on.

We collect and deliver.
You don't hire a bakkie or carry a thing. We fetch the couch and bring it back.

Most of our work is lounge suites in homes across Johannesburg. We also re-cover restaurant booths, bar stools and office seating, in fabrics that wipe clean and survive a Friday night.
Couches first. Cupboards too.

Kwanele and the team
Kwanele runs the workshop and quotes the jobs. You'll meet the rest of us at collection, usually with a bakkie and a stack of fabric samples.
I started out in 2021 as a carpentry business, fitting TV stands, kitchen units and wardrobes. In those homes I kept seeing old couches. So we thought why not make one chair to see if we can make a difference! It came out nice. Our second couch came back: the client didn't like how it turned out, so we took it to the workshop, refixed it and brought it home again, and the second time they were happy. If you're not happy with a job, that's still what we do, at no extra cost. And when you ask if we'll change your stitching, the answer is no, unless you tell us to.
