Couches are most of our work, but the bench in Jabavu sees a lot more than couches. Dining chairs that have had 10 years of Sunday lunches. A grandmother’s settee with the stuffing coming out. A headboard you’ve never liked.

## What we repair and re-cover

- **Dining chairs.** New seat foam and fabric, one chair or the whole set. Marilyn Rukande’s came back in Pluto velvet.
- **Armchairs and wingbacks.** Singles or pairs, matched to your couch or chosen to stand out.
- **Antique settees.** The carved frame stays. Look at the stained settee on our home page, re-covered in silver-grey.
- **Headboards and bed bases.** Fluted, buttoned or piped, in velvet or leather, made to the width of your bed.
- **Ottomans, recliners and bar stools.** Ts3bo sent us 3 bar stools with a 6-seater couch in one job.
- **Sideboards and wooden pieces.** Refinished, like the sideboard in the slider above.

> I recently had the pleasure of working with Trysofic Projects for the renovation of my old dining chairs, which had been with me for over a decade.

## Made to measure

We also build from scratch. We’ve built a wooden bunk bed with shelves and storage underneath, with the ladder on whichever side suits your room, plus accent cushions in velvets and textured weaves. If you’ve got a picture of something you want, send it. Jocelyn Brown gave Kwanele a design to follow and wrote that he matched “95% of what I wanted”.

## Furniture repair in Florida and Roodepoort

Florida and Roodepoort are our main area. A chair, a sideboard or a headboard: WhatsApp a photo to 074 019 9297, we collect it and bring it back repaired. Collection starts at R250. See [how a Florida job runs](/areas/florida/).

## Send us the piece

A photo on WhatsApp to 074 019 9297 is enough to start. Tell us how many chairs, and roughly how big.

## Questions we get asked

### Is it worth re-covering dining chairs?

If the frames are solid, usually yes. Mapuleng Gaula wrote on Google that re-covering saved her a lot of money compared with buying new chairs.

### Do you make new headboards?

Yes. We make fluted, buttoned and piped headboards and bed bases to your size, in velvet or leather.

### Can you refinish wood as well as fabric?

Yes. The sideboard in the before-and-after above was refinished alongside the dining chair that goes with it.
