# Cookie notice

Last updated 8 October 2026

## In short

We use Google Analytics to count visits, with its advertising features off. No ad trackers, and what changes when you tap through to WhatsApp or Google.

This website uses one kind of tracking cookie: Google Analytics. It tells us how many people visit and which pages they read, so we know what’s useful to you. It only runs if you say yes in the cookie banner you see on your first visit.

## What that means

- **Google Analytics, with advertising off.** Its cookies count your visit, the pages you open, the device you use and roughly which city you’re in. We switched off Google signals and ad personalisation, so your visit isn’t used to show you ads. Google handles this data for us under its own [privacy policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy), and its servers can be outside South Africa.
- **No advertising trackers.** No Meta pixel, no Google Ads tags, no retargeting.
- **No stored form.** The quote form writes a WhatsApp message on your own phone. Nothing reaches us until you press send in WhatsApp.
- **Our own fonts, images and cookie banner.** These load from this site. The only outside company that sees your visit is Google Analytics, and only if you accept.

## Your choice

The banner lets you accept, refuse or choose, and Google Analytics stays off until you accept. To change your mind later, tap Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. One small cookie, cc\_cookie, remembers your choice for 6 months so we don’t ask on every visit. We also keep a record of each choice for 12 months (an anonymous number, what you chose, the page and the date, no IP address), so we can show you said yes or no.

You can also block cookies in your browser settings, or add Google’s own [opt-out](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) to your browser. The site works exactly the same without them.

## When you leave the site

If you tap a link to WhatsApp, Google Maps, Google reviews or Instagram, you’re on their site, and their own cookie and privacy policies apply. That’s 4 companies we don’t control.

## Your browser

Your browser may still keep a copy of our pages and images (its cache) so the site loads faster next time. That’s your browser’s own setting, and you can clear it any time.

## If this changes

If we add anything else, we’ll update this notice first and ask for your consent where the law needs it. Read our [privacy policy](/privacy/) for how we handle the details you send us, or call 074 019 9297.

## Cookies this site sets

Only `cc_cookie` is set before you choose: it stores your choice. Everything else loads only if you accept its category.
